The dredge tower of Novoselivsky MPP is a part of the dredge lifting system and is designed to build up or dismantle sections of the pipe pond, which ensures the working movement of the dredge. 

The Novoselivsky MPP dredge tower is a high-rise spatial structure installed on the dredge production module. Elements of the tower are made of standard rolled metal. The choice of the tower structure type was made on the basis of technological and architectural requirements, taking into account standard materials, technological and economic feasibility.

Due to the long-term operation of the Novoselivsky MPP dredge, the steel structures of the lifting tower have corroded and need to be replaced. However, the drawings of the previous design of the lifting tower have not been preserved, so it became necessary to make an updated design of the lifting tower of the Novoselivsky MPP dredge. It should also be noted that no calculations were performed to justify the design of the previous tower. Accordingly, metal structures were selected for structural reasons with a large margin of safety. The task is to calculate the parameters of the lifting tower in order to reduce metal consumption while maintaining strength. 

A distinctive feature of the lifting tower as a high-rise structure is the dominant influence of meteorological factors on its stressed state: wind load, icing, temperature. Static calculation of towers is performed using conventional methods of structural mechanics. 

The design of the Novoselivsky MPP dredge tower (Fig.) consists of: a pulley assembly 1; a deflection pulley assembly 2; a support frame 3; a tower ladder 4; a tower maintenance platform 5; a searchlight assembly 6; a lightning rod 7.

In this work, a SolidWorks solid model was developed, technological and design parameters of the lifting tower were calculated, and the parameters of its components were substantiated.
