Artificial intelligence is a science and technology for creating intelligent machines, and in particular intelligent programs capable of solving logical problems. Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the ability of intelligent systems and algorithms to carry out creative functions traditionally performed person. The term “Intelligence” is best understood as the ability an individual adapts his behavior to new circumstances. Human intelligence is not one ability, but a whole ability group³ng such as sensation, perception, thinking, imagination, representation, memory.

There are always pros and cons to any technological advancement. Let’s look at the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence.

Advantages:

- Using AI, the greatest accuracy and chance of almost zero error

- AI will find application in space exploration. A variety of robots can be used to explore space. Them the alien environment is not scary and they can be created in such a way that the atmosphere of other planets did not affect their physical condition and functionality.

- AI robots could be used to explore the depths of the earth and the depths of the World Ocean, the extraction of fuel and resources necessary to a person.

- Smartphones are a great example of artificial intelligence. Such applications like Siri, acting as a personal assistant, maps and GPS that provides the user with the shortest routes to destinations, applications predicting user actions, and also giving recommendations. 

- Artificial Intelligence can be used effectively when performing repetitive, tedious and time-consuming tasks.

- AI can perform tasks that are dangerous to human health and life tasks: rescuing people, extinguishing fires and others.

- The big advantage of AI is that machines don't need sleep. They can do the same thing over and over again. they won’t get tired of the work either.

Disadvantages:

- One of the main disadvantages of artificial intelligence is maintenance and repair costs. Software must be constantly updated to keep up with changing requirements. In the event of a breakdown, the cost of repair can be very great.

- If robots begin to replace humans in every field, it will eventually lead to unemployment. People will be left with nothing to do. So much empty time may result in its destructive use.

- Due to the reduced need to use their intelligence, lateral thinking and multitasking abilities of humans may diminish.

- If the control of machines goes in the wrong hands, it may cause destruction. Machines won't think before acting. Thus, they may be programmed to do the wrong things, or for mass destruction.

IT technologies and their applications are considered as one of the important directions for the development of education. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into education is a fast-growing trend that has the potential to revolutionize the way we learn and teach. Artificial intelligence also has the potential to improve the efficiency and accuracy of formative assessmets. An intelligent system that interacts with information and provides verification student’s knowledge is known as intellectual training system (ITS). This is one of the complex ways of presenting information to students. Like a teacher, it teaches each student according to its level of knowledge and priorities. ITS can teach students as follows. Initially it teaches and presents theory with examples. Then it asks questions to the students. It has the ability to understand the answers given by students and determine their knowledge, which influences on what should be presented and asked of the student. The student can also ask questions and the system can answer or solve problems in specific area of knowledge. Researchers are interested in developing effective ITS that can teach various subjects, including equation solving, physics, mathematics and grammar. 

An intelligent teaching system requires the following input data:

1. Knowledge and understanding of the course being taught, learning strategies, misconceptions and possible errors.

2. Experience gained by the system as a result of interaction with students. It includes yourself know-how of student mistakes, students' learning efforts and their general information.

3. Preferences or priorities of each topics required for student achievement levels and cost of use.

4. Observing the interaction between the student and test results.

IT technologies and their applications are considered one of the important directions in the development of education. In education, the application of AI technologies is related to learning and teaching and is increasing every day.
